World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) star Windham Rotunda, famously known as Bray Wyatt, passed away on Friday at the young age of 36.

The news of Wyatt's demise took everyone by surprise and made every eye teary as he left this world.

Everyone in WWE was shocked to hear about his death after which many top wrestlers like John Cena, Dwayne Johnson, Matt Hardy, and many others took to their social media accounts and paid respect to the deceased.

The wrestling world is in mourning and paying tribute to one of WWE's great.

“I’m heartbroken over the news of Bray Wyatt’s passing. Always had tremendous respect and love for him and the Rotunda family. Loved his presence, promos, in ring work and connection with [the] WWE universe,” wrote Johnson.

“Very unique, cool and rare character, which is hard to create in our crazy world of pro wrestling. Still processing losing the goat, Terry Funk yesterday and now Bray today. My love, light, strength & mana to the Rotunda family and Funk family during this tough, heartbreaking time.”

John Cena also posted on his X, formerly known as Twitter, account and paid his respects.

"Devastated by the news of the passing of Windham Rotunda. My heart goes out to the entire Rotunda family. Windham brought the best out of me in so many ways. I’m forever grateful for the moments we shared. A sad day for all those he reached around the world. RIP," he wrote.

Many other stars also said good words about Wyatt on their X accounts.

It must be noted that the cause of Wyatt's death is still unknown.

Despite a high-profile feud with Bobby Lashley, Wyatt didn’t participate in WrestleMania 39, due to an undisclosed illness, and was removed from television weeks before the event.

However, earlier in August, it was reported that Wyatt could make a comeback soon as he was on track to recovery.

Wyatt’s last fight was in January, when he defeated LA Knight in a Mountain Dew Pitch Black Match at the Royal Rumble.

Wyatt held WWE’s top singles and tag team titles over the course of his illustrious career.
