The ICC Men's Cricket World Cup 2023 is just around the corner and the excitement among fans is increasing with every passing day.

Many were troubled because there had been no update on the ticketing process but the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) on Wednesday announced 'BookMyShow' — India's premier entertainment destination — as the official ticketing platform for the World Cup.

A total of 58 matches, including 10 warm-up fixtures, will be played on 12 different venues throughout India.

“In line with ensuring a seamless and comprehensive ticketing experience for fans, the sales process for this iconic tournament will be introduced in a series of carefully managed phases,” BCCI stated in a released statement.

Tickets for the matches of Pakistan and all the other teams excluding India will go on sale from August 25 on BookMyShow.

Meanwhile, the tickets for India's matches will take place on different dates according to the venues.

The tickets for the semi-final and final will go on sale from September 15.

Earlier today, the International Cricket Council (ICC) announced the schedule of warm-up games in the World Cup 2023.

Pakistan will take on Australia in their first warm-up match on September 29 in Hyderabad, while their second game will be against New Zealand on October 3 — just two days before the commencement of the World Cup — in the same city.

A total of 10 warm-up matches will be played with Bangladesh and Sri Lanka having a face-off in the first encounter in Guwahati.

All games will start at 2:30pm Pakistan Standard Time (PST) and teams will be allowed to field all members of their 15-player squads during the matches.

It must be noted that 10 teams will fight for the elusive title across 10 venues from October 5 to November 19, with the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad hosting the tournament opener and the final.

The Cricket World Cup will be played in the round-robin format with all teams playing against each other for a total of 45 league matches.

The top four teams will qualify for the semifinals, which will be held in Mumbai on November 15 and in Kolkata on November 16. The semi-finals and the final will have reserve days
