Pakistan’s Under-11 Squash player Zain Bukhari passed away, confirmed Punjab’s Squash Association (PSA) on Thursday.
Bukhari died due to electrocution from a motor at his house.
As per details, the motor was electrified due to rain and the 11-year-old accidentally touched it as he playing at his home today.
Bukhari’s sudden death took Pakistan sports and especially the squash community by shock and saddened everyone in the country.
“Zain’s sudden death has saddened us all,” said the spokesman of the squash association. “PSA share the grief of Zain’s family.”
Secretary of squash association Mohammad Anwar confirmed that the Independence Day celebrations are called off due to Bukhari’s death.
He also said that the age group Squash league was supposed to start on August 11.
