Pakistan's captain Babar Azam backed the emerging team players to be ready for the next challenges.

Babar Azam and his team arranged a celebration dinner for the A team after they beat India A in the final to defend their ACC Men's Emerging Asia Cup title.

"It was your belief that led you to the victory," Babar told A team's players. "This is just a beginning, not the end. Celebrate this victory but don't become overexcited about it. There is always a new challenge waiting for you out there, prepare yourself for that," said the skipper.

Pakistan Shaheens outclassed India A by 128 runs in the final on Sunday in Colombo, Sri Lanka.

While chasing a target of 353 runs, India A were dismissed for 224 runs in 40 overs.

Babar asked Haris and the company to take out negatives from the game and try to learn from them.

"Just go, watch and analyse your performance. Be your own teacher, it will help you grow more. Don't be satisfied as I already said that it's not an end. Overcome your weaknesses and be ready for the next challenger," he said.

Spinner Sufiyan Muqeem caused all kinds of troubles for the Men in Blue by taking three important wickets including opener Abhishek Sharma, who scored 61, captain Yash Dull, who was set at 39 off 41, and Harshit Rana, 13, while conceding 66 runs in 10 overs.

Mehran Mumtaz, Mohammad Wasim and Arshad Iqbal claimed two wickets each.

For India A, opener Abhishek Sharma was the top run-scorer with 61 runs in 51 balls.

Earlier, Pakistan had set India A target of 353 runs on a good batting surface.

Middle-order batter Tayyab Tahir scored a brilliant century to help Pakistan post a massive total on the board after being asked to bat first.
