Pakistan's squad is all set to participate in Special Olympics 2023 in Germany next month.
Germany's capital Berlin will host the Special Olympics from June 17 to 25, 2023. Pakistan's contingent, comprised of 117 athletes and 30 coaches, will participate in different events of the games.
In the Pakistan team's honour, a reception was hosted in Karachi today. Athletes alongside their coaches and parents attended the event.
Speaking on the occasion, Ronaq Lakhani, chairman of Special Olympics Pakistan, thanked the Sindh government for their all-out support.
"It's a big opportunity for all the athletes to hoist Pakistan's flag at the international level. Our special kids are no lesser than anyone. They are skilled and competent enough. We are really looking forward to their achievements in Special Olympics," the chairman said.
"I would like to thank Sindh government here for their all-out support. I think they have been our biggest supporters and well-wishers," he added.
Pakistan team will depart for Germany on May 12.
