Pakistan beat New Zealand in ODI series after 12 years

Former Test cricketer Umar Gul and young wicketkeeper batter Mohammad Haris locked horns in a friendly one-over contest during the Pakistan team's training at National Stadium, Karachi. 

In a video shared by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Gul challenged Haris to score 15 runs off six balls. The young wicketkeeper batter accepted the challenge and a fun video attracts fans on social media. 

In the supervision of coaching staff member Abdur Rehman, interim bowling coach Gul and Haris played a one-over challenge. Throughout the challenge, Gul and Haris had fun.

An overall bowling performance by Pakistan helped them bowl out New Zealand for 261 and win the third ODI by 26 runs in Karachi on Wednesday.

It was Pakistan's first ODI series victory over New Zealand after 12 years. The last time, Pakistan won an ODI series against New Zealand was in 2011. 

Set to chase 288 runs, New Zealand kept losing wickets after regular intervals. Openers Tom Blundell and Will Young provided good start to them but their departure was followed by couple of quick wickets. 

Blundell scored highest 65 runs for New Zealand. Skipper Tom Latham made 45 runs whereas Cole McConchie resisted a bit in the end but couldn't take New Zealand over the victory line. He scored 63 not out including six boundaries and two maximums.

For Pakistan, Shaheen Shah Afridi, Mohammad Wasim Jr and Naseem Shah bagged two wickets each. Agha Salman bagged one wicket.
