Young players of Pakistan Shaheens, Haseebullah and Abdul Wahid Bangalzai, are ready to perform for their team on Zimbabwe tour.
Haseebullah and Bangalzai made their name through performances in domestic cricket and Pakistan Super League (PSL). Haseebullah represented Peshawar Zalmi whereas Bangalzai played for Quetta Gladiators in eighth edition of the league this year.
Following their dominant performances on different occasions, they were named in Pakistan Shaheens squad who is having its first tour since 2021.
"It's always an honour to wear Pakistan's jersey. Since childhood, I dreamt of representing Pakistan," Bangalzai said in a video released by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
"We worked hard in the camp in Karachi. We tried to overcome our weaknesses and I am hopeful to give hundred percent for my team," he added.
Meanwhile, Haseebullah is confident to execute practice in the match. "It was a very useful training camp in Karachi. We learnt a lot and prepared ourselves for the match. We will try to execute our practice in the match," he said.
The young wicketkeeper batter also shared his experience of playing with Babar Azam during PSL 8. "Babar Bhai is a legend and playing alongside him was an honour. I talked a lot about batting with him," he concluded.
