The 34-year-old Indian all-rounder, Ravindra Jadeja, also known as one of the finest fielders in the world, got the wicket of Australian all-rounder Marcus Stoinis, who is famous for his explosive batting-style, with a spectacular delivery in an Indian Premier League (IPL) match between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) today (Wednesday).
Jadeja got the wicket of Stoinis in his first over, while the batting lineup of LSG was already struggling at 34-3.
Jadeja bowled three overs and conceded just 11 runs at the economy of 3.67 while getting one wicket.
LSG scored 125-7 in 19.2 overs before rain interrupted the match and was eventually called off.
Both teams have the same number of points, 11, in the IPL points table but LSG sits at number two thanks to their slightly better net run rate. Meanwhile, CSK are in third place after 10 matches.
Jadeja has served Indian cricket team in a total of 302 matches, which includes 64 Tests and T20Is, each, and 174 ODI matches. He has scored 2,658 runs in Test cricket at an average of 35.91, 2,526 runs in 118 ODIs at 32.80 and 457 runs in 34 T20Is at 24.
In bowling, he has 264 wickets in Test cricket in 122 innings, 191 wickets in 168 ODI innings and 51 wickets in 62 T20I innings.
