Left-handed opener Shahzaib Khan played an eye-catching century knock for Pakistan U19 as they took a dominated 215-run first innings lead over Bangladesh U19.

The 17-year-old, who belongs to Mansehra, scored 174 runs with the help of 25 fours and four sixes. 

At stumps on the second day, Pakistan were 364-7 in 116 overs. Obaid Shahid was batting at 62 with a handsome lead on the scoreboard. 

After deciding to bowl first, Pakistan bowled out Bangladesh for 149 runs. Pakistan scored 76 runs for the loss of one wicket on the opening day of the match. 

It must be noted here that Shahzaib has come through domestic cricket. In the National U19 Cup in July 2022, Shahzaib led his team to title victory by scoring 75 runs and taking three important catches in the final.
