Pakistani legends Misbah-ul-Haq and Shahid Afridi are ready to lock horns with India Maharajas in the opening match of Legends League Cricket (LLC) 2023.
Misbah and Afridi, who will represent Asia Lions in the tournament, talked about their first match in a video shared on Twitter.
"Lions are here to conquer," said Afridi. "Asia Lions are ready for the match. India Maharajas, are you ready," asked Misbah.
LLC 2023 will commence in Doha, Qatar today with Asia Lions taking on India Maharajas in the opening match today at 8pm (PST). Afridi will lead Asia Lions whereas Gautam Gambhir will be the captain of India Maharajas.
Pakistan's legendary cricketers including Afridi, Misbah, Mohammad Hafeez, Shoaib Akhtar, Abdur Razzak, Mohammad Amir and Sohail Tanvir will be in action during the tournament.
LLC 2023 will be played from March 10 to 20 in Qatar. It must be noted here that after hosting FIFA World Cup for the first time last year, Qatar are now looking forward to hosting some more mega sports events in the future.
