England thrashed Pakistan by 114 runs in their last match of the ongoing ICC Women's World Cup 2023 at the Newlands Cricket Ground in Cape Town, South Africa on Tuesday.
Opting to bat first, England posted a mammoth 214 runs before restricting Pakistan to 99 runs.
After a great batting display, the English side delivered with the ball too.
Tuba Hassan was the top scorer for Pakistan, amassing 28 runs in 20 balls, laced up with two boundaries and a maximum.
Apart from Tuba, no other Pakistani batter crossed the 20-run mark.
For England, Katherine Sciver-Brunt and Charlie Dean took two wickets each, while Nat Sciver-Brunt, Sarah Glenn, and Sophie Ecclestone secured a scalp each.
Earlier, Nat Sciver-Brunt and Danni Wyatt helped England post a mammoth target of 214 runs on the scoreboard.
Opener Wyyat scored 59 runs off 33 balls, including seven boundaries and two maximums. Her opening partner Sophia Dunkley could only score two runs, while Alice Capsley also failed to score big.
After the two batters' departure, Sciver joined Wyatt on the crease. The two batters put on a 74-run partnership off just 42 balls.
However, Wyatt fell to young bowler Tuba Hassan.
Skipper Heather Knight (4) couldn't stay at the crease for long and got out to the experienced all-rounder Nida Dar, who claimed a wicket in the match.
With the wicket, Dar surpassed West Indies' Anisa Mohammad to become the leading wicket-taker in women's T20 with 126 wickets to her name.
Amy Jones was the next batter who joined Sciver at the crease. The two partnered up and stitched a massive 95-run target off only 48 balls.
Sciver smashed an unbeaten 81 runs off 40 balls, including 12 boundaries and a maximum.
For Pakistan, Fatima Sana claimed two wickets, while Sadia Iqbal, Nida, and Tuba secured a scalp each.
