Veteran all-rounder Mohammad Hafeez had a great time in Quetta Gladiators' camp on Saturday as his team beat Karachi Kings by six runs in Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8.
Taking to Twitter after his team made an impressive comeback, Hafeez appreciated performers.
"Congratulations team Quetta on our first win in PSL 8 and what a way to bring it. Well done everyone. Special innings of 100 from Martin Guptill. A lot to learn for youngsters from his crafty show tonight. Well bowled Naseem Shah and Mohammad Naseem. Good captaincy Sarfaraz Ahmed," he wrote.
Hafeez, who replaced injured Ahsan Ali in Gladiators' squad for PSL 8, managed to score just 18 runs off 15 balls in the first match against Multan Sultans. He also went wicketless with the ball.
Gladiators were beaten by Multan Sultans in their first match by nine wickets.
Gladiators beat Kings by six runs
Gladiators defeated Kings by six runs on Saturday during the ongoing PSL season eight at the National Bank Cricket Arena in Karachi.
This was Gladiators' first win in the tournament, meanwhile Kings have now lost three matches in a row.
Chasing a target of 169 runs, Kings were restricted to 162-5 in their allotted 20 overs.
The in-form Shoaib Malik remained unbeaten on 71 runs in 49 balls but he was not able to get his side over the line. His innings included eight fours and a six.
