Peshawar Zalmi's opener Mohammad Haris said he planned against Ihsanullah's bowling but didn't get a chance to play more of him.
Speaking to media after Multan Sultans beat Zalmi by 56 runs in fifth Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 8, Haris, who scored 40 off 23 balls, said he knows how to play against the young bowler who bagged five wickets against Quetta Gladiators in previous match.
"Ihsanullah is lucky enough to not bowl too much against me today. I have played with him in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa team and did keeping on his bowling. I better know his mindset. I did planning to play against him but just faced two balls from him," witty Haris said.
Babar Azam's support
Haris credited Babar for giving him full confidence throughout. "Babar Bhai told me to believe in my abilities. He said 'don't try to hit every ball, take your time and wait for bad balls'," he shared.
"Babar Bhai tries to play till the 20th over and he guided me to do the same. He told me to not be a batter of just six overs," he added.
Haris also took blame of his run-out on himself. "It was my mistake. Saim Ayub was right, it wasn't a run but I left the crease in a hurry," he mentioned.
Pitch difference in Karachi and Multan
Haris said Karachi pitch was good to bat on. "Ball was coming on the bat in Karachi. It was easy to bat there. In Multan, there is bounce and ball is breaking a lot," he highlighted.
"Today, it was a good pitch here. Credit goes to Multan bowlers, the way they bowled and outclassed us," the young batter concluded.
