The Pakistan Super League (PSL) fans are desperately waiting for players' replacement draft as the eighth edition of the event is just around the corner.
Following their long wait, fans often asked Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) officials about replacement draft on social media. Finally, a fan got answer from PSL's head Usman Wahla.
"When is PSL replacement draft," the fan asked.
"This will take place towards the end of the month when the schedules of some of the clashing bilateral series are announced," Wahla replied.
PSL franchises locked their squads in PSL players' draft that took place on December 15 last year.
Due to foreign players' national engagement, franchises will have an option to make partial replacements.
PSL 8 is expected to take place from February 13 to March 19 in Karachi, Lahore, Rawalpindi and Multan.
Additionally, the PCB Management Committee also received a detailed update on the PSL 8 last month and desired to add Quetta as the fifth venue for the eighth edition of the PCB’s annual marquee event.
To ensure Bugti Stadium was ready to host the PSL 8 matches, the committee agreed that PCB will work closely with the local administration for upgradation and renovation of the Bugti Stadium, while separate discussions will take place between PCB security experts and local authorities to ensure the safety and security of all the participants, officials and spectators.
The final schedule of PSL 8 will be announced after the conclusion of home ODI series against New Zealand.
