Pakistan all-rounder Imad Wasim reacted after being included in the squad on Tuesday for the upcoming T20I series against New Zealand on home soil.
The 35-year-old was called up after he took back retirement from international cricket recently.
Taking to his Instagram account, Imad wrote "Back where it all started" with an emoji of the Pakistan flag.
While announcing the squad for the series, a member of the selection committee, Wahab Riaz said Imad was an automatic choice in place of Mohammad Nawaz, who couldn't find a place due to poor form.
It must be noted that Imad had announced his retirement from international cricket in November last year.
Imad has been a crucial member of the Pakistan team over the years and was a member of the 2017 Champions Trophy-winning squad. He also played in the 2016 T20 World Cup, 2019 World Cup, and 2021 T20 World Cup.
The left-hander made his international debut in May 2015 against Zimbabwe and has played for Pakistan in 55 ODIs and 66 T20Is. He has taken 109 wickets and scored 1,472 runs in his international career.
Apart from Imad, Mohammad Amir also made a comeback in the squad for the series.
Meanwhile, Irfan Khan and Usman Khan have got the nod of selectors after impressive performances in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine.
The squad will be led by star batter Babar Azam.
