In the ongoing AFC Asian Cup on Thursday at Ahmad bin Ali Stadium, Uzbekistan emerged victorious with a convincing 3-0 win against India.

As a result of this match, Uzbekistan have seen a positive shift in their FIFA ranking, moving up from 68 to 66. In contrast, India's FIFA ranking has experienced a setback, dropping from 102 to 112.

In another match, Australia secured a 1-0 victory against Syria in their second Asian Cup encounter, maintaining a flawless record in Group B and securing a spot in the last 16.

Midfielder Jackson Irvine played a pivotal role once again, scoring his second goal of the tournament after a goalless first half. This victory propelled the 2015 champions Australia to six points, while Syria now has one point from two games.

In the FIFA rankings, Australia have improved, moving from 25 to 23, whereas Syria's ranking have seen a minor change, shifting from 91 to 92.

Yesterday in Group A encounters, Qatar defeated Tajikistan 1-0. After the match, Qatar climbed three places in the FIFA Live Rankings, while Tajikistan dropped two spots. Qatar now occupy the 55th position on the FIFA Rankings, whereas Tajikistan has slipped to 108th on the table.

Akram Afif scored Qatar's sole goal in the 17th minute, securing their advancement to the second stage of the competition.

On the other hand, China and Lebanon each lost three places following their goalless draw. China is now ranked 82nd, and Lebanon is at 110th on the table.
