Abrar Ahmed ruled out of T20I series against New Zealand

The 24-year-old missed Test series against Australia due to injury

Mystery spinner Abrar Ahmed has been ruled out of the T20I series against New Zealand due to not being fully fit.

The 24-year-old will return home and continue his rehab at Lahore's National Cricket Academy (NCA).

Abrar missed all three Tests against Australia after he complained about feeling some discomfort in his right leg during the four-day practice match against the PM XI

Off-spinner Sajid Khan was called up as Abrar’s replacement but he was not part of the first two Tests.

He will play the final Test in place of pacer Shaheen Shah Afridi, who has bee rested.
