LeBron James was once again Los Angeles Lakers’ star of the night, as the 38-year-old scored his season-high 40 points against Oklahoma City Thunder in a 129-120 win to help his side end their four-match losing.

James, 38, scored more points this age for the first time this season, as he starred for the struggling Lakers’ side that was looking for a miracle during the “desperate times”, as said by the man of the hour himself.

James hit five three-pointers without a miss, showing his immense precision, and also made the most of all nine of his free throws. He also had seven rebounds, seven assists, and two blocks.

The Chosen One wasn’t shy to admit that the team needed this win and they were “desperate” for it.

"This was one of the first must-win games for us this season," James said. "We was desperate for a win tonight, so desperate times call for desperate measures."

The 38-year-old was greatly supported by his teammate Anthony Davis, who added 26 points courtesy of 11 rebounds and seven assists for his side. Rui Hachimura and Austin Reaves contributed to 21 and 11 points respectively as an all-round performance helped the Lakers end their losing streak.

“To know I can go out and still make game-winning plays, can affect the game in multiple ways and can still close out a game in the fourth quarter when our team needed when they started making a run is always a good feeling for sure,” James said.

“Everyone was making shots and everybody was passing the ball,” James said. “We were trying to keep it on time, on target and not turn the ball over. That was the key to it.”
